One of the cities that we visit, and we’re back with some wonderful memories that we can’t forget. Memories of  loved moments remains in the squares, restaurants, attractions and more. But since the city of Grenoble is a winter heaven (summer is just to those who love camping in the mountains, paragliding and watch the most beautiful landscapes in the Alps). But winter is a hub for all skiers on the snow as well as play it, not only France but also from all of Europe. The total distance of the nearest ski a half-hour drive from the city center, which is characterized by its small size and concedered to be one of the most important places made the history of modern France.
But that’s not all, the city has a long history and tradition at the same time, it is not a relatively modern city, but one of the oldest French cities, and in ancient and modern history of many important events recorded in order not to be lost in the crowd of tourists of the famous ski slopes in the Alps. In fact, the first reference in the historical sources of Grenoble was in 43 BC, when it was called Cularo was not only the village that the Roman governor at that time want to transfer to a city like Vienna and Valencia, which were by virtue of their presence in strategic locations, the most important cities for many centuries.

In the year 256 AD amounted to only an area of nine hectares, was at that time construction of the wall -which surounded it- an example of most ancient cities from all sides. Where inter-wall several sections of the city, not far from Italy and Switzerland, only dozens of kilometers. However, has remained a village until the Emperor Gratien’s decision to transfer it to a real city and changed its name to Grenoble, a name that still carries to this day.

The largest city on the banks of the River Isère included by the Rhône-Alpes region that is larger cities of Lyon, France’s second city in terms of population is also of importance after the capital Paris. Thanks to its geographical location between the Alps, the Grenoble suffered throughout history from a number of natural disasters are a large floods destroyed most important parts of them. To date, the few cities of Grenoble in the world, which floats on the pool of underground water that leaks into the ground in the melting season of snow on the tops of the surrounding Alps. Therefore, its presence in a remote area of the earthquake did not avert the flooding that occurs frequently and at different times. In the year 1191, the village adjacent to the collapse of the mountain which has greatly impacted by the Swiss territory and block off nearby, and the collapse itself solitary river which passes on the city. The year 1219 was the famous floods which have hit the Alps to break the wall that surrounded the city in all its aspects and a large number of houses inside, killing dozens on the effects of the population, provided a number of other, leaving the city in a catastrophic situation remained for a long time. On the second day the flooding started and one of the lakes nearby, caused the sinking of a number of nearby villages such as Sasnag Fontaine and antioxidant.

During the Middle Ages, Grenoble was born again, as it became the capital of Dauphiné since that time till today. As it joined France in the fourteenth century after Umberto II handed the city to Crown Prince of France on 30 March 1349 after he aggravated debt amounted to some extent the inability of the province and the city to pay. This Agreement joined the city to the French home, it became the royal city after King Louis 11th moved there.

Grenoble is the Home of the Inter-Parliamentary era in France, where the first parliament in 1476 at the initiative of Lord Bayard, who was born nearby. In 1562 the city witnessed great battles and conflicts between Catholics and Protestants, the Catholics won and built a huge wall along the mountain, somewhat like the Wall of China, but microscopic copy of it, also built the Bastille, a fortress and still oversees the city from the north of the River. And now contains a restaurant average luxury can be reached via cable cars, or across the road too old to step up to the middle of the mountain and with a number of museums and other historic buildings, of which the main building of the monastery of St. Mary who is today musée dauphinois, where the visitor who cares to know the city’s history identify the important historical stages of its past, as well as to identify ways of life that prevailed in more than one time. In Grenoble, the French Revolution was also pioneered in a number of places within the city, especially in the public garden of the old city we find the monument to the revolution that changed the face of France in the contemporary world. We can, from there, access to the internal streets are filled with cafes and restaurants, sidewalks. As well as many writers and philosophers such as Emmanuel Mounier and studied in schools and established a fragmented language Pharaonic Jean-François Champollion and many others. It is also to the city interested in culture, and, despite its smallness, it contains more than fifteen public library and many public parks including the garden that I love the French philosopher Gaston Bachelard Gaston Bachelard near my house. And public libraries and library away from the big city, the municipality in the city honored the Algerian writer Kateb Yacine’s novel (The Star), published in 1956 and launched his latest public library in the city where the writer lived after coming to France in 1962 is annexed to his friend Albert Kami is in Paris and then set up permanently after the death of Camille in Grenoble, which honored him with the best tribute.

From Grenoble to Hambure or to the high mountains where the skiing or even lakes scattered like mushrooms in the mountains and forests, the curfew in the area I am also a tourist, gave me a real opportunity to get to know the city’s history, geography, and major tourist locations, as well as large hotels and resorts within the city attached to the lights as the mountain roads or even small hotels in the villages which, although its services were simple and modest, but just to live for days in those remote villages and far from noise and pollution. Is truly a rare opportunity for twinning with the nature of the mountains lived here millions of years ago.
